Introduction:
Aluminum starch octenyl succinate is a complex carbohydrate made from plants that is used as an anticoagulant, viscosity builder (reduces flow) and adsorbent. It can be used in products such as lotions, powders and color cosmetics, mainly for cosmetic purposes. For example, it prevents foundation from caking on the skin or reduces the greasiness of certain lotions.
Application:
Aluminum starch octenyl succinate can be used in various powder products because of its smooth and velvety feel.
Starch-based products in talcum powder can be used as a substitute for talcum powder to absorb moisture and prevent caking.
In antiperspirant products, it can improve the white visual effect of the antiperspirant stick, and it will not cause whitening effect on the skin when used.
In make-up products, it can be used in liquid or powder make-up products to improve the aesthetics of formulas and absorb excess skin oil.
