Introduction:
Tetrabutyl quaternary ammonium salts are phase transfer catalysts with superior performance. Tetrabutylammonium hydrogen sulfate buffer system is often used as an aqueous mobile phase in reversed-phase liquid chromatography detection. However, the stability of the tetrabutylammonium hydrogen sulfate buffer system gradually decreases with the increase of tetrabutylammonium hydrogen sulfate concentration. The tetrabutylammonium hydrogen sulfate buffer solution must be prepared immediately before use, and the use time should not exceed 6 hours (obvious turbidity can be seen after 8 hours at room temperature), otherwise it will cause chromatographic peak drift and even salt precipitation in the pump or chromatographic column, resulting in damage to the pump and chromatographic column.
