Description:
Isopropyl myristate is a colorless to light yellow thin oily liquid, odorless and tasteless. Soluble in ethanol, ether, and chlorofor. Can dissolve with water. It has good lubrication and permeability, can improve skin affinity, and is a lower alcohol ester of higher fatty acids.
Isopropyl myristate has a low greasy feeling, a softening effect on the skin, and good permeability. It is a solvent and retention agent for pigments, spices, and various additives. Low melting point, stable and not easily hydrolyzed, the color and odor can meet the requirements of cosmetics, making it an excellent ester raw material commonly used in cosmetics.
Application:
1. Used as a dispersant for lipstick, hair balm, lipstick, cleaning cream, perfume powder and medical ointment, as well as as a fixative for perfume.
2. It is suitable for use as dispersant in cosmetics and pharmaceutical industry, and also as fixative in perfume.
3. Carrier solvent. GB2760-96 stipulates that the use of food flavorings from Chemicalbook is allowed.
4. It is one of the important additives in high-end cosmetics, which has excellent penetration, moisturizing and softening effects on the skin. It is used as an emulsifier and wetting agent in cosmetics.
5. Used for organic synthesis. Solvent. Preparation of flavoring, cosmetic oil-based raw materials, insecticide raw material solvents.
