The melting point is 210°C. Soluble in ethanol, soluble in ether, slightly soluble in water. Vanilla Acid is one of the active ingredients of piperita. The structure of the caryophyllin contains vanillic acid group, ferulic acid group and cinnamyl group, which are vanillic acid, ferulic acid and cinnamic acid after hydrolysis, and vanillic acid is one of the antibacterial components of picosmoside, and the amount of vanillic acid contained in it can be used as an indicator to measure the quality of picoccia.
